Had Smokesta’s biological mother wasn’t a drug addict and he never been adopted ,he would’nt be the promising underground artist that he is today.Inspired by a close friend,he began writing lyrics while working at a BBQ Shop.Away from work he would write about his his everyday experience in the drug trade.Later he teamed up with the rap duo Major Grind and released the album “Da Family” in 2005 along with a slew of mixtapes. Halfway through his solo album,Smokesta’s home was raided by undercover narcotics and sent to prison on drug charges.During his incarceration he wrote over 500 songs for his debut album “Blue Warrant”.
